Invitation from the convenor
On behalf of the Faculty, I warmly invite you to join us for the 2026 Faculty of Pain Medicine (FPM) Symposium to be held on Friday 1 May 2026 prior to the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), from 1-6 May 2026 at the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC).
Our theme for the 2026 FPM Symposium is "Kotahi tatou I Te Waka: United in the journey of pain care." We consider this an opportunity for us to reflect on the science that underpins the practice of pain medicine and raise awareness of the importance of access to high quality, evidence-based, pain management solutions in achieving brighter futures for our patients.
We're thrilled to announce our keynote speakers are Professor Lesley Colvin, Professor of Pain Medicine at the University of Dundee, UK and Associate Professor Jelena M. Janjic, Associate Professor of Pharmaceutics from the Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, USA. The symposium will feature a wide range of topics and discussions, including nanotechnology and genomics.
Major sponsorship and exhibition opportunities are detailed on the following pages and are designed to give sponsors exposure to a broad range of pre-event marketing as well as maximum access to delegates during the meeting. We expect approximately 130 delegates to attend.
We encourage you to express your interest in exhibiting at this meeting by submitting an application form and if accepted, we look forward to seeing you in Tãmaki Makaurau, Auckland, New Zealand.
Dr David Boothman-Burrell
